This weekend has been such an awesome weekend that both baby and I have enjoyed. The weekend service was simply amazing! The short film done by Jack Neo and the CHC drama team has indeed been mind-blowing! Not only that, the message shared by Pastor Tan about being merciful and righteous together is stunning! :) Followed by dinner with Daddy Lim, Mummy Lim and baby Lim at Aston Sembawang was solid.
Am greatful that baby Lim brought breakfast to me on Sunday morning... Long John Silvers, Texas Chicken and Big Fish with ice Milo... filling.. super filling..... *thumbs up*. Next up, went to somerset 313 to shop and landed having lunch at Pocket Full of Posies/Greenhouse Cafe. (The reason why I chose that place to eat is mainly because the seats are swing actually! Isn't it interesting?) King size prawn Aglio Olio and Lasagne was mouthwatering! Honestly speaking, the swinging part has made both me and baby a little giddy... LOL!
Continued shopping part II, until our legs signal our brains that we are exhausted.... Went to Old Town Cafe to try out the famous Old Town White Coffee... Hmm... it's not as fascinated as what we thought... but not too bad after all... we tried the ice hazelnut white coffee and the ice mocha white coffee... Heard that this old town white cafe is being opened by Mark Lee... Haha.. If Mark Lee can opened a cafe so can you! :)
Continued shopping part III, until we went to Newton Mrt to wait for Papa Tan and Mummy Tan to come pick us for dinner.... While waiting there, we saw Louisa... :) :) :) Yup, as usual, they are late and we waited there patiently... Soon after, we arrived at Greenwood Ave, to experience the faraway famous fish market... Ordered Cold Seafood Platter to share with baby Lim, it was heavenly !!... Mussels, Oysters, Prawns, Lobsters, Salmon sashimi, Littlenecked clams filled up the entire plate. Finally, it comes to the scariest part.... Escargot !!!!.. !!!! !!!! !!!!...
Baby was being forced to swallow a piece of escargot... and finally with LARGE courage, baby swallowed it ! Horrayyyyy ! And he describe it as roasted turkey in mushroom soup! LOL :) :) Now... the whole table was staring and pointing fingers at each other to finish up the last piece of escargot... left with 3 females whom haven't tried it.... with HUGE courage, I was being chosen as the chosen one.
Tears almost flowed out of my eyes when the escargot was in my mouth... the thought of it, really makes me shiver and wanted to vomit it out of my mouth. (it's not about the taste... but it's about thought of the snail... Imagining putting a snail in your mouth..... !!!! eeeew! ) umm.. the taste of it is like mushroom soup, and the escargot tasted like normal clams... so it's like eating clam with mushroom soup.... yup yup... :) :) not too bad after all.... Indeed had a great time with my Tan family on Sunday night with baby!...
***Awesomeness! Praise Jesus for such an unforgettable and awesome weekend with all the fellowships and amazing food on the table! :)
Anyways, just for your information, the escargot which was being served looks like this....

(yup yup, so the sight of the escargot being served on the table is not scary at all actually... haha... :) )
